Waari (“we”, “us”) is built on proof you can trust — and that trust extends to your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Who we are

2. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to deliver and prove a clean:

  • Contact details — your name, mobile number, city and society/building, to schedule and confirm service.
  • Booking details — the service, vehicle or home size, and frequency you choose.
  • Photo proof — timestamped, geotagged before & after photos of the work at your location.
  • Payment data — processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your full card or UPI credentials.
  • Usage & attribution — basic analytics and the source that brought you to the site, to improve service.

3. How we use your data

To provide the service you booked, assign and verify a cleaner, send photo proof and service updates, process payments, resolve complaints, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data. We will only send marketing messages where you have a reasonable expectation of them or have opted in, and you can opt out anytime.

4. Sharing

We share data only with the people who deliver your service — the assigned KYC-verified cleaner and, where relevant, your society manager and our local franchise partner — and with processors who help us operate (payments, hosting, communications). All are bound to use it only for Waari's purposes.

5. Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

You may access, correct, or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you. To exercise any right, write to our Grievance Officer (see the Contact page). We aim to respond within the timelines required by law.

6. Retention & security

We keep your data only as long as needed for the service and our legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Data is protected with access controls, encryption in transit, and secured cloud infrastructure.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
